Dear St. Paul Hermitage Families and Friends,
Waking up to another day of sunshine is such a gift. The handiwork of God is on great display. I hope you had the opportunity to soak up a little of it today.
We currently have had no residents ill with COVID 19 and no residents who are symptomatic at this time. Our current COVID 19 status is that we have had no COVID 19 positive residents. We have had eight COVID positive employees. Four of our staff who are ill are direct care staff on the Health Care Center. Four of the eight staff have recovered and have returned to work. We have had no COVID 19 related hospitalizations or deaths for both employees and residents.
We are still waiting on the results from the testing done on Tuesday. They told us it would take 48 to 72 hours so we should have the results by the end of the day on Friday.
Yesterday I shared the blessing of some of our partnerships. Today I would like to share the blessing of our staff. Day in and day out our staff cares lovingly for our residents. They do so in different ways but always with love and care. Everyone helps where they can, and they are always willing to fill in a gap when needed. Shifts can get long and staff can get tired but what never wavers is their commitment and love for the residents. I am so thankful for the many ways you have reached out to them as work during this time of pandemic. It lightens their hearts and reminds them of your presence even though they don’t get to see you as they usually would.
I also thank you for the way you support me. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate it. If you have any questions, please let me know. You can reach me by e-mail at or 317-213-8430.
