Dear St. Paul Hermitage Families and Friends,
Our pending COVID 19 test came back negative!!! What a blessing. Our current COVID 19 status is that we have had no COVID 19 positive residents. We have had eight COVID positive employees. All our staff are recovered and have returned to work. We have had no COVID 19 related hospitalizations or deaths for both employees and residents.
Today was another beautiful day, our residents love the sunshine. It allows our residents some time out in the sunshine. I know that they are grateful for the time outdoors. The weather tomorrow will probably keep us indoors.
With summer coming, I need to remind you that the ISDH guidelines currently remain strict. We are only allowed to have visitors in our building if we have clinical documentation that it could be an end of life situation. All other visiting at this time must be done through glass windows. We are not allowed to open the windows. We are not able to have families visit while residents are out on the patio. I know this is very difficult. I want nothing more than to be able to see the smiling faces of our residents visiting with family on the breezeway. This is always a sign of summer to me. I look forward to the day we can have you visit in person again. For now, we still must follow the guidelines for window visits with shut windows and no visiting outdoors. Let us continue to pray for an end to this pandemic.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 317-213-8430. I have been working a few night shifts a week, which means I need to sleep the following day. If you leave a message, I will return your call as soon as I am able.
In Christ’s Peace,
Sr. Heather Jean
