Dear St. Paul Hermitage Families,
I have more good news to share with you this evening. The staff test that was pending came back negative. What a blessing!!! We are still awaiting the result of our resident test that was completed today. May we continue to remember to pray for an end to the pandemic and all who are ill at this time.
Our current COVID 19 status is that we have had no COVID 19 positive residents. We have one test pending. We have had eight COVID positive employees. All our staff are recovered and have returned to work. We have had no COVID 19 related hospitalizations or deaths for both employees and residents.
We continue to be blessed by the beautiful weather. It allows our residents some time out in the sunshine. I know that they are grateful for the time outdoors.
I have some additional news to share regarding staffing. Zelma Jones, who has been serving as our Unit Manager, requested to return to a dayshift nursing position. She will be serving as our A Hall dayshift nurse beginning this week. I am grateful for her service as Unit Manager. She did a great job. Our new Unit Manager is Sam Ndungu. He currently serves as one of our evening shift nurses. He has prior experience as Unit Manager. Sam will transition into this new role beginning June 8. He is currently training the new evening sift nurse, Willie.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You can reach me at email@example.com or 317-213-8430. I have been working a few night shifts a week, which means I need to sleep the following day. If you leave a message, I will return your call as soon as I am able.
In Christ’s Peace,
Sr. Heather Jean
