Dear St. Paul Hermitage Families and Friends,
The Strike Team came out today to test our resident. The nurse who performed the test let me know that the Governor has given them the weekend and Monday off for Memorial Day. This means we will not find out about results until Tuesday or later.
I also had a staff member call me this afternoon to let me know that they were not feeling well. They were tested this afternoon. This staff member is a direct caregiver who last worked last evening. Let us pray for the sick in our community and for all in our world who are ill at this time.
Our current COVID 19 status is that we have had no COVID 19 positive residents. We have two tests pending. We have had eight COVID positive employees. All our staff are recovered and have returned to work. We have had no COVID 19 related hospitalizations or deaths for both employees and residents.
Today we were blessed by our window washing team from Our Lady of Grace Monastery. The residents enjoyed having their windows cleaned on the outside by our sisters. They enjoyed waving and blowing kisses. This was a beautiful act of love. We are grateful that they are helping to clean your window into our community. I hope you able to come by and visit this weekend. It is supposed to be beautiful. We are looking forward to spending time outdoors.
Just a reminder that I am collecting “heart felt hugs” for our next employee event. I want to invite you again to offer your appreciation by writing some words of gratitude on the paper attached to this e-mail. Your words and creativity will do so much to encourage our staff as they continue to do their good work. Please put it in an envelope and drop it off or mail it to me prior to June 5. Thank you for your participation in this act of love.
In Christ’s Peace,
Sr. Heather Jean
