Dear St. Paul Hermitage Families and Friends,
One of our residents was assessed after letting the nurse know that she was not feeling well. It was decided in consultation Dr. Daniel Hurley, our Medical Director, that a COVID 19 test should be ordered in addition to other tests. Currently, this resident is in isolation. This is a precautionary measure to make sure that we catch any case of COVID 19 early to prevent the spread of it in our community. The Strike Team was notified about our request to have this resident tested. I will update you once the testing has been scheduled. Let us pray for our resident who is under the weather and for all in our world who are ill at this time.
Our current COVID 19 status is that we have had no COVID 19 positive residents. We have had eight COVID positive employees. All our staff are recovered and have returned to work. We have had no COVID 19 related hospitalizations or deaths for both employees and residents.
Just a reminder that I am collecting “heart felt hugs” for our next employee event. I want to invite you again to offer your appreciation by writing some words of gratitude on the paper attached to this e-mail. Your words and creativity will do so much to encourage our staff to continue their good work. Please put it in an envelope and drop it off or mail it to me prior to June 5. Thank you for your participation in this act of love.
In Christ’s Peace,
Sr. Heather Jean
