Dear Family and Friends,
It looks like the weather will change each hour of this day. I am hoping that you will have the opportunity to stop by and see your mother in the midst of it all.
As I reflect on Mother’s Day, I think of my own mom and the way she has blessed my life. I also think of others who have mothered me into life. There are many who have served as wisdom figures in my life and I am certainly the better for it. As you remember your mother today, give thanks to God for the blessing of her in your life. Also take time to reflect on the wisdom figures in your life that have also been a mother to you and give God thanks.
Today I will be working the floor for the evening shift. In fact, I will be working this shift today through Thursday. Because of this, I am sending this letter earlier today. We will be testing the seven residents and one employee that needs to be retested. As soon as I hear from the ISDH, I will let you know what day that will be.
We currently have had no residents ill with COVID 19 and no residents who are symptomatic at this time. Our current COVID 19 status is that we have had no COVID 19 positive residents. We have had eight COVID positive employees. We have 8 tests pending – seven residents and one employee. Four of our staff who are ill are direct care staff on the Health Care Center. Four of the eight staff have recovered and have returned to work. We have had no COVID 19 related hospitalizations or deaths for both employees and residents. Let us pray for continued healing for our caregivers.
May today be filled with many blessings as you celebrate Mother’s Day. If you have any questions, please let me know. You can reach me by e-mail at or 317-213-8430.
